The Pain Continues

Posted: July 9, 2006 in Life in Adelaide
Man.. the pain, the suffering, the agony of flying on SUNDAY!!

Due to broken aircraft, shitty weather, sick instructor, sick me, broken simulator, my MOD6 is still dragging on… When will it stop?!!

Flying on a sunday is definitly not something anyone one want, but hey, that’s life…  However… flying on the saturday, the day after our graduation?? WHAT THE HELL MAN??  While half of our class is packing and partying and getting ready to get back to TPE… Michael and I, and probably more ppl, will be flying on Saturday… That just suck big time… Alright, calm down… I guess, if you look at it from anothe angle, better to finish early I suppose… to avoid… "long night more dreams"… hahahaha~

Alright, that’s it for today… World Cup Finals today, who will win?  Like I give a shit…

Yesterday, photo session.

Since our graduation date is approaching, we had to take a group picture.  Some of these pictures took several takes, cuz… it’s a group photo, you know how it is…  Especially the last one… It was hard, since we were standing face to face, we can help but burst into laughing hard hard…

Painful MOD 6

Who was it that said MOD6 is a breeze?  Breeze my ass…

It’s been a busy week.  I personally think the learning curve for MOD6 is kinda steep, one more engine, new check list, new enroute procedures, and lots of crap that we’ll never need once we go back…  It’s kinda painful, but the end is near, gotta stick thru it…

Nothing else is new really… Life is still the same…  Just counting the days left untill I can sleep in my own bed and sit in my own chair again.  Almost there…

Havn’t drawn anything for a while now…

My mind is blank… so I just drew what I feel like right now…  Not very exciting…

Oh yeah, it’s been freezing recently, and according to the news, it’s the coldest winter in Australia in 100 years!  So we been through the hottest summer in 60 years, and now the coldest winter… !$#%@#!…

World Cup

World Cup…  Never was a soccer fan… Probably never will…

But since it’s the world cup, I guess I should hop on the wagon and watch it… hee~

Here is a really funny video, non-soccer related~  CLICK HERE~

After being in Mod6 for almost a month now… I’ve now finally finished FOUR flights… My god… At this pace, I’ll be graduating in September!!   So this only means one thing, I’ll be rushing to the end with 2 sorties a day…  I hate being rushed…

A Change of Instructor

Posted: June 9, 2006 in Life in Adelaide
Yesterday, my flights were cancelled cuz I caught a cold.

Big news today, our coursemate Astrophil, suffered a REAL engine failure today at Strathalbyn aerodrome.  The word is that the cylinder head just blew off, oil everywhere.  Luckily, he was at 700′ so he had sufficient height to turn back and land.  He even had time to do a Mayday Call~  It’s times like this, that makes you think, what would you do if it happend to you… hmmm…

Anyway, so I flew my 3rd sortie today, simulated engine failure and really shut it down. It was fun~  Oh yeah, and now I’m flying with Mr. Fletcher, cuz Mr. Volum have to get David and Stanley to finish up their training first.  Well, no big deal, since Mr. Fletcher is a great guy~  Lucky me~

As for the question regarding what is 鋼之鍊金術師… it’s hard to explain eh… It’s basically about these ppl who can use spells/magic and turn things into other things… as long as they are made out of the same material… For example, they can turn a block of metal into a sword.  Check out their website www.fullmetalalchemist.com for details~ hee~

Multi-Engine

Yesterday, I flew my first sortie of MOD6Finally.

Flying in the Dutchess is not too much different, except you have two of everything now… Two engines, two mags, two HSI, two alternator, two…  But it still only have two wings, two elevators, two fuel tanks, and three landing gears…

The headline today was, our graduation might be moving up to July 14th.  One week earlier than it was scheduled.  It’s both good and bad I suppose…  We all get to go home sooner, but those of us who are a bit behind, will have to rush a bit to finish everything by then.  I’m not sure if it’s "official" yet, but I’ll keep everyone posted.

Tomorrow, two flights, it’s good, but I think I caught a cold… shit…   Dayquil…
